Who a TidalFit swim spa is for

A TidalFit exercise pool is for families who want swimming, exercise and hydrotherapy at home but don't have the yard, budget or swim season for a full pool. In Utah that last point matters: a heated, covered swim spa works in January, not just July. The True Variable Speed swim current adjusts from gentle to challenging, so beginners, kids and serious swimmers can all use it.

The Active EP-12 and ActivePlus EP-12 are about 12 feet long and 7.6 feet wide with 4 seats. The Active EP-12 is 45 inches deep, holds about 1,195 gallons and has 16 jets, while the ActivePlus steps up to 28 Helix jets, with a BellagioFall water feature available. The Pro EP-15 is about 15 feet long and 60 inches deep, holds about 2,075 gallons, and is the one to choose if laps are your priority. TidalFit also makes standalone hot tubs (DTL-6, DTL-8, DT-19 and DT-21).

Electrical, pad and installation

TidalFit exercise pools use a 5.5 kW heater on a dedicated 240V circuit. They're heavy. Using the manufacturer's capacities and dry weights, an Active EP-12 weighs roughly 11,700 pounds filled and a Pro EP-15 roughly 19,700 pounds, before anyone gets in, so a properly engineered concrete pad is essential. Planning a swim spa in the Salt Lake Valley

Start with the spot, not the model. A TidalFit is about 7.6 feet wide and 12 or 15 feet long, so measure the delivery path from the street to the pad (gates, side yards, slopes and overhead lines) as well as the final location. Put it where you'll actually walk to it in February: close to the house, with a short, safe path that you can keep clear of snow and ice. Winter is where a swim spa beats a backyard pool in Utah. A heated, insulated TidalFit keeps going after pools close for the season, as long as it stays full, running and covered.
